Knowing the differences between vaping and smoking weed can help determine the best option for you
Welcome to the Vibin' with Vapestur blog! We’re excited you’re here!
So there seems to be a lot of controversy out there about vaping and smoking. What’s the difference? Which is better?
Well that depends on several different factors, particularly what it is that you’re consuming. Most of our customers use our products with cannabis; not tobacco.
Here at Vapestur we offer traditional smoking products as well as vaping devices. There are pros and cons for both. In this article, however, we’re going to talk about why vaping might be a better option for you than smoking.
It is a well-known fact that vaping is far less harmful than smoking. There is now general agreement that vaping use exposes the user to fewer toxicants than smoking tobacco cigarettes as well as Cannabis. So, you could experience some drastic health benefits by switching. E-cigs are often used to help people quit smoking as they can help people beat their cravings for nicotine. Using a vape pen is also a lot like smoking.
Vaping is also cheaper and easier to use than many of the smoking devices on the market. Amounts vary, but in general vaping costs less than half as much as smoking.
Because of the health risks involved, smoking cannabis is quickly losing its popularity—particularly among medical patients. There is ample evidence to show that smoking flowers with contaminates on it, like pathogens, spores, and mildew can injure smokers with lowered immune systems. This cannot happen with vape pens and cartridges because vape cartridges are created from an intense extraction process that leaves only pure cannabis oil behind.
There are several reasons to choose vaping when consuming cannabis, provided you use a high-quality vape product. Vaporizing is less offensive to others who may be nearby as it produces no smoke along with having a much more reduced odor. You also feel the effects of the cannabinoids more quickly when vaping.
Note that if you are vaping cannabis for the first time, I would exercise caution of the amount you intake as a little goes a long way. John Hopkins released a study recently showing that vaporizing cannabis does in fact provide a more intense high compared to smoking flower of the same dose. When flower combusts, the high temperature of the flame burns off some of the cannabinoids and terpenes, which theoretically makes smoking a less efficient and less long-lasting experience than vaping. Which, as mentioned earlier, makes vaping weed more cost-effective.
